Penetrates, fills and seals tubuli. Protects dentin. A varnish and its thinner/solvent used since 1929 in dental universities worldwide. It is applied under gold and amalgam restorations. It is easy to use. Using metal cotton pliers, place a cotton pellet in the varnish, then swab the cleaned cavity. Air dry and reapply varnish. Air dry again to see a shiny hard surface which is ready to receive the gold or amalgam restoration. Each ? ounce bottle holds 1200 drops which is enough to treat 600 teeth using two applications per tooth. The thinner/solvent is used when the varnish thickens. Add a few drops of the thinner to the thickened varnish, recap the varnish and shake. There is a two year shelf life for the product. Store in a cool dry place. There is no other varnish available with the characteristic to reconstitute itself like COPALITE® Varnish. It is time tested. The solvents in the varnish have antimicrobial and antiviral properties to eliminate the chance of cross contamination.
